VirtueMart Plugin for SOBI2

VirtueMart is a very nice shop- and SOBI2 a powerfull directory-component for Joomla, with that many tasks become easy to solve.

Now the VirtueMart -Plugin for SOBI2 by Netzelf should serve as a little bridge between both components. This plugin allows you to select VirtueMart categorys in and the products from these categorys then will be shown in the SOBI2-Entrys.

Features:

  • Add, remove and sort categorys
  • Resize the window in the SOBI2-forms
  • Allow/deny editing in frontend
  • De-/activate display of products price, “add to cart”-link and categorys title
  • Setting, if row if there should be a break between categorys or if products should be displayed one after another
  • Number of columns adjustable

How does it work? I install it as plugin in sobi ans add code to view details template. And what next to do to get it working?

  2. metti Says:

Then you go in the entry-form and assign categorys with doubleclick.

    The plugin description says
“De-/activate display of products price, “add to cart”-link and categorys title ”

How do we do that, I tried creating a new Entry in Sobi, there wasn’t any option to connect to cart nor adding a category by double clicking works, could you please provide some steps / examples.
    thanks

I did not test it with 1.5 but i apreciate if you could report if it works.

You can switch off if a “add to cart”-link will be shown for the products. Therefor you have to go to SOBI2->Plugins->Virtue Mart Listing. There you can set the options i mentioned.

To add categorys to an entry go to an entry form. There you should see your VM-categorys (like in the image above).
To add a category to the entry simply double click a category on the left side of the table.

    Hope this helps you
